Celebrate the arrival of spring! Join us for the 2nd Annual Violet Festival—a free event full of color, charm, and seasonal delights! Experience the beauty of spring at the Saint John Public Gardens with flowers, food, and fun for the whole family. 

Event Details:

  • Dates: May 3rd & 4th, 2025
  • Time: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Location: Saint John Public Gardens, 48 Seely Street
  • Admission: FREE!
  • An easy way to remember, day 2 of the event is May 4th, Star Wars Day! This is also the weekend before Mother's Day—a perfect opportunity to pick up gifts and flowers for Mom!


What to Expect:

  • Flower Sale in the Greenhouses – Take home stunning flowers, that were grown right here in Saint John.
  • Over 30 Local Vendor Market – Explore handmade crafts, art, and unique treasures from talented artisans.
  • Delicious Food & Specialty Drinks – Savor tasty bites and refreshing beverages.
  • Adorable Alpacas – Meet and snap photos with these lovable animals!
  • Live Music – Enjoy performances by talented local musicians throughout the event!

PLEASE NOTE: There is no parking within the Public Gardens, and no on-street parking. There is a parking lot at the corner of Rocky Terrace and Mt. Pleasant, as well as the first parking lot on Lake Drive S. If you need help bringing your plants to your car, just ask a greenhouse staff member and we will be happy to help you.
