Road to the Memorial Cup

June 17, 2022

Get ready to watch uptown Saint John come alive as we celebrate the #RoadToMemorialCup!

The 2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia Canada kicks off on Saturday, June 18th and runs until Wednesday, June 29th. To make sure you don't miss a single action-packed moment, we've pulled together highlights of what to expect so you can plan out your own Memorial Cup experience!

Port City Party

Set the tone for the Memorial Cup with the Port City Party! Hosted by the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village, this party will kick off the festivities with a live performance from Juno Award winning band The Strumbellas. Dance the night away, sing your heart out, and stay afterwards for fireworks over the waterfront!

VIP food and viewing experience tickets can be purchased here.

One for All District

The One for All District will transform the uptown core of Saint John with family-friendly and free activities, celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion. With a variety of themes throughout the week, there is something for everyone to be involved with - truly One for All!

For more information on each theme, click here.

Legacy Mural

Saint John has a significant history of visits from noted muralists. To add to the Memorial Cup celebrations, a lasting piece of artwork by internationally acclaimed outdoor muralist, Kevin Ledo and Festival Inspire was commissioned. Designed to support the "One for All" theme, the mural will live adjacent to TD Station, ensuring the memories from the Memorial Cup will last long after the event.

An unveiling of the Legacy Mural will take place Sunday, June 19th at 2:00pm at the Waterfront Container Village.

Fan Fest

Join together with the community in the beautiful Market Square Atrium at Fan Fest. Experience the Hockey Hall of Fame travel exhibit, interactive games, and Tales with the Cup stories. All are welcome to join in the fun!

Ball Hockey Tournament

The Memorial Cup will mark the unveiling of a new outdoor ball hockey surface adjacent to TD Station. This surface will make hockey more accessible to everyone, and weave the sport of ball hockey even further into Saint John's community culture!

Bash on the Bay

Bash on the Bay will be party central for the 2022 Memorial Cup! This event will feature nine events over ten days of pre- and post-game festivities with live music, food trucks, beer gardens and live game screenings for sold out games - all from the comfort of the one-of-a-kind Waterfront Container Village! Come together and experience uptown Saint John in a way that has never been seen before!

Memorial Cup ticket holders will have priority entrance, with limited (free!) general admission spots available afterwards based on capacity.
