An ice fishing experience unlike any other, The Shacks is a new way to enjoy this popular winter activity. The first of its kind in New Brunswick, The Shacks provides everything you need for an authentic ice fishing experience. Each Shack is a solid unit with seating for up to six adults, plywood flooring for extra stability, four fishing holes, poles, bait and even logs to keep the small wood burning stove toasty warm. All you need to bring is a love for adventure!
The Saint John Region is situated on the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’Kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati Nations. This territory is covered by Peace and Friendship Treaties signed with the British Crown in the 1700s. The treaties did not surrender the territory and resources, but recognized Wolastoqiyik, Mi’Kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati title, and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
