Enjoy March Break with Fundy Winterfest

Whether you’re looking for something action-packed or just want a low-key way to relax for an afternoon, plan to spend your March Break enjoying all that Winterfest has to offer.

KV Brewskis and Frostbites

Grab a map and a friend (or two!) and head out on your KV Brewskis and Frostbites Adventure! Purchase a beverage or food item from a participating restaurant to receive a stamp for your map. Collect stamps to receive prizes, swag, and to be entered into the grand prize.

Skating

Swirl and twirl your way through March Break by participating in a public skate at the Rothesay Arena. Head on down from March 7-10 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. to join in on the fun!

 

Want to participate from the sidelines instead? Check out Hampton's Battle of the Badges on March 11 at 7 P.M. and cheer on local first responders.

Snowshoeing

For adventure enthusiasts and beginners alike, try your skills at snowshoeing! Head to Rockwood Park on March 4 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. for a guided snowshoe and bonfire, with free snowshoe rentals from Inside Out Nature Centre. The hike will be under 5km, and the skating rink will be open weather permitting.

Or, join the KV Walkers on March 8 at 1 P.M. for a snowshoe hike on the Wells Recreation Trails. This event is open to people of all ages and all experience levels.

 

Want to participate but don’t have your own gear? River and Trail Outdoor Company has you covered! Enjoy FREE snowshoe rentals until March 12th.

Sledge Hockey

Want to be part of all the action? Take advantage of the opportunity to try sledge hockey at the QPlex with a member of Team Canada! All abilities are welcome to join Jacob LeBlanc on March 8 from 2:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. for some on-ice tips on stability and motion, and lots of selfie opportunities at the end of the event.

Beachcombing with the UNESCO Fundy Biosphere

Come along with team members of the UNESCO Fundy Biosphere Region & Stonehammer Geopark to see what treasure can be found on the beaches of St. Martins. Find out what makes the geology and ecology of St. Martins one of a kind and learn about sustainable development and the natural history of the Bay of Fundy!

Sciencefest

Join Grand Bay-Westfield for their third annual Sciencefest. There will be STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities for all ages, including robot jousting, 3D printing, chemistry demonstrations, and more!

Fat Biking

Visit the new Millennium Cycle Bike Park trails located near Meenan’s Cove Park to try fat biking! Visit Millennium Cycle & Sport if you need a bike, and spend an afternoon our on the trails.

Bay of Fundy Polar Dip

Cap off your March Break with a dip into the highest tides in the world with the Bay of Fundy Polar Dip! Test your nerves on March 11th at 3 P.M. as the tide goes out on our beautiful coast.

Zen Inspiration

Enjoy a morning of relaxation and unwinding at Hampton's Yoga and Meditation events. Participate in Yoga For Everyone with Beth, happening March 4 from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. at the Lighthouse River Centre. Tap into your breathing, stretch out the body, connect with some movement and relax. Email meredith@hampton.ca to hold your spot.

The Saint John Region is situated on the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’Kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati Nations.
