Rockwood Park

One of Canada’s largest municipal parks, Rockwood Park offers a campground, an Interpretation Centre, lakes for swimming, an 18-hole golf course, and a playground. With more than 50km of hiking trails to explore, the park is a four-season adventure zone with something for everyone. In the summer enjoy rock climbing, kayaking, biking and more. Visit in the autumn and enjoy the spectacular colours of the Fall foliage. Explore the park in winter, and enjoy sleigh rides, cross country skiing and skating.

Land acknowledgement

The Saint John Region is situated on the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’Kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati Nations. This territory is covered by Peace and Friendship Treaties signed with the British Crown in the 1700s. The treaties did not surrender the territory and resources, but recognized Wolastoqiyik, Mi’Kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati title, and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
