The 2018 participating artists are:
“Our Canada 150 Salmon Run installation was loved by locals and visitors to the city helping to bolster our vibrant uptown core with the unexpected,” says Victoria Clarke, Executive Director of Discover Saint John. “We had a tremendous response to our call for submissions and are delighted to have mix of new and returning artists creating our 2018 collection.”
The casts of Atlantic salmon are being created by New Brunswick artist John Morgan to create an urban kaleidoscope of salmon sculptures standing more than six feet tall when mounted.
Upon completion the salmon sculptures will be installed throughout the city for public viewing and remain the property of Discover Saint John for future installations. Discover Saint John will be creating a walking tour for “Salmon Run 2.0” available on their Saint John Walking Tours app (iOS and Android.)
