We couldn't not share the brown bread recipe! So good!

Fiddleheads

Also know as the ostrich fern, these tasty fronds are only around for a short time each spring.

Foraging is an option, but for those less inclined, you can find them at most local grocery stores and farmers markets while they're in season.

Atlantic Salmon

Baked, broiled, smoked or candied... no matter how you choose, it's delicious! And fortunately in Saint John, it's readily available.

Grab your preferred piece at the local grocery stores, or try your favourite local fish monger:

Dulse

Yes... it's seaweed! But don't knock this salty treat until you try it. Harvested on the rocks of Grand Manan Island, dulse can be enjoyed on its own, in a DLT (dulse, lettuce and tomato) or added to salads, chowders and more.

Fortunately for us, most of these can be found in local grocery stores throughout the maritime provinces and in some cases, the state of Maine. You can also order your favourite online, directly from Mrs. Dunster's.
